Centre Updates/Reminders

Volunteer Opportunities | Do you love Jesse's fries, burgers and chicken fingers? Here's your chance to learn how he does them! We are looking for some volunteers to learn how to use our deep fryer and grill so that IF Jesse isn't available, we can still serve the great food you've come to expect at our events! He'll show you how to get around our kitchen like a pro! Please call or email our office to put your name on a list so we can set up a training date or two! |
Front of Building Construction | Construction is going to start as early as next week! The ground and entrances at the front of the building are being re-done to improve the slope, drainage and access. During the construction, there will always be ONE entrance available for you to come in! If the front is blocked, you can enter at the end of the building nearest the rink. For your safety, please look for the signage to let you know which door to use! Thanks for your patience during this long-awaited upgrade! |
Concession Update | Concession Update After great consideration, the NMRC Board has determined that we need to increase the cost of our concession items (pop/juice/water, chips, chocolate bars and popcorn) from $1 each to $2 each. This is the first price increase we have made in more than 5 years and it brings us in line with other recreation centres and event venues across the city. We regret that we have to do this, however with the increasing cost of purchasing supplies, it has become necessary. This price change will take effect on September 1, 2024. Thank you in advance for your understanding and support. |
Code of Conduct Policy | The NMRC Board has been working on updating and developing policies to meet the growing needs of the centre. The first one that is directly related to our outward facing work for you, our valued community, is our Respect, Responsibility and Code of Conduct Policy (RRCC). This policy is intended to create an environment that encourages a safe environment, free of harassment, violence, abuse or vandalism at the centre. It also outlines measures and enforcement steps to be taken to address inappropriate behaviour. We ask that our members review and become familiar with this policy, and be aware that beginning with your next membership renewal and/or program registration, you will be asked to confirm that you have read and will adhere to the policy |
Fragrance Free Space | Did you know that the North McIntyre Rec Centre is a Scent-Free Facility? For the health, safety and comfort of our members, volunteers and staff, we ask you to refrain from the use of scented products prior to or during your visit to the centre for your program or event. An information sheet about fragranced products is available at the centre. |
