KNITTING WORKSHOPS

Learn to knit a top-down sweater, there are no seams to sew just a few beginning and ending yarns to weave in. A bonus to this knit style is you can easily replace the bottom and cuffs for growth. The pattern is not difficult, suitable for intermediate knitter. Must be able to increase, decrease, cast on cast off, comfortable with the knit and purl stitches.

SWEDISH WEAVING FOR BEGINNERS

Learn the beautiful fabric art of Swedish Weaving. There is an extra $25 for supplies for the course, payable to the instructor on the first day.

COMPOSTING 101

with Eco Superior

Composting is a simple way to reduce your curbside trash by as much as 30%, provide a great source of natural fertilizer for your lawn and garden, and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. This workshop, hosted by Eco Superior, involves an interactive presentation where you’ll learn the basics of both indoor (vermicomposting) and backyard composting, including all the troubleshooting, tips, and tricks you’ll need.
