Enter the Den School Business Plan Competition
Students (Grades 7 to 12) … Win money for your business idea.
“Enter the Den” is an exciting and educational initiative for Thunder Bay students. It is a gentler version of the TV show “Dragon’s Den” with practical feedback to all semi-finalists and finalists. Encouraging creativity and innovation helps students develop their skills and confidence as future business leaders.
Enter the Den supports, assists, and motivates students in their entrepreneurial pursuits. Providing assistance and materials to students competing in the contest can greatly enhance their overall experience and chances of success.
In developing their business idea, it is expected that the students will follow the format of a business plan. Students do not have to start a business – the goal is to learn what is involved in starting a business and realizing that it can be a career choice.
The three cash prizes for each category will go to students with good business ideas that have been well researched, well presented, and well defended. Both written and oral presentations will be required.
