Adventurers Camp
Adventurers Camp is a fun and inclusive day camp for kids ages 5 to 12, offering a variety of activities—from crafts to karate and, of course, swimming!
Session Dates:
- Summer Start-Up: July 2 – 4 (No morning class options)
- Session 1: July 7 – 18 (9-day camp)
- Session 2: July 21 – August 1
- Session 3: August 5 – 15 (9-day camp)
- Session 4: August 18 – 29
Fees:
- 2-week session: $314.51 (first child), $267.80 (additional children)
- 1-week camp: $214.87 (first child), $181.65 (additional children)
- 1-week camp with Private Swimming Lessons: $263.65 (first child), $200.33 (additional children)
Adventurers Camp Morning Registration Options
TOTS Camp
All 5-year-olds (as of December 31, 2025) will register for this program. They will stay with the same group and instructor throughout the day.
Daily Schedule:
- 9:00 AM – Crafts
- 10:00 AM – Imagination Station
- 11:00 AM – Monkey Business
Any of these activities may be substituted for a swimming lesson.
Swimming Lessons at Adventurers Camp
Swimming lessons will be registered by waitlist. If you’d like a swimming lesson as one of the three morning activities, please select the waitlist option. You will be contacted before your camp session starts if a spot becomes available

But be careful, there are detours, roadblocks, and even U-Turns that may trip up even the quickest teams! *On Friday night, the challenges will continue into the evening at the Evening at Chippewa event. Kidventures
A fun-filled program for kids ages 5–12 at Prince Arthur’s Landing!
Mornings: Art sessions with a local artist
Afternoons: Adventure-packed activities throughout Prince Arthur’s Landing
Bonus: Weather permitting, campers will go sailing with a trained captain from Sail Superior!

Youth Move
Youth Move is for anyone between the ages of 10 to 18 looking for ways to get involved in their community, make some new friends and try different activities. Youth Move has drop-in sites and registered special events. See below for more information.

Special Events
Special Events occur at various locations around Thunder Bay. These include themed activities at our locations and outings with community partners (paintball, escape room, etc). These events must be registered for in advance by calling (807) 625-863 or going to Perfect Mind. Special events range in pricing from $0 – $25.
How-To
Our How-To Program is a skill building program for youth. We provide multi-session events to help youth strengthen their skills in different areas such as: cooking, crocheting, painting, golf, etc. This program is offered on a designated weekday evening over a series of weeks. These events must be registered for in advance by calling (807) 625-8463 or going to Perfect Mind.
Team Unbreakable
Interested in learning to run?
Between the ages of 10-18?
Join Team Unbreakable, a free 10-week learn to run program! Starting April 1 to June 5, 2025 on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 5:30pm-6:30pm at the Kinsmen Youth Centre – 609 James St. N. Shirts and shoes provided, if necessary.

- A site or virtual visit will be conducted prior to the start of support
- To initially apply for JIS, complete a Participant Intake Form

JIS supports the Recreation & Culture Division’s Children and Youth programs, swimming lessons and 4U programs.
4U Programs
The 4U Programs are specialized programming for children and youth with disabilities. This session we will be running Swim 4U and Fit 4U.

PAL Card
The Personal Attendant for Leisure (PAL) Card is issued to a person with a disability, enabling their support person access to a facility that accepts the PAL Card, at no cost.
The PAL Card is accepted at City of Thunder Bay recreation programs and recreation facilities, as well as a number of private recreation facilities in the community. Email us for an up to date list.
